RAE GATELEY, LCSW
Rae is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with experience providing a wide range of services and treatment approaches. Her passion is to help people discover and use their own strengths to experience healing and growth.
While working with children who have behavioral problems, Rae noticed that many of these children were in a constant state of high alert, ready to literally fight or flee at any moment. They were unable to respond to interventions that focused solely on using coping skills and making better choices, but began to show improvement when other approaches were used which addressed the root causes of anxiety, grief, and anger. Rae continues to deepen her knowledge and skills in the treatment of trauma and related issues in children and adults. She practices from a Strengths-Based Perspective, and utilizes EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, and play therapy interventions, as appropriate for each client's unique needs.
Rae was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas and returned to Northwest Arkansas in 2008, after living in other parts of the world for several years. She is a proud mother and grandmother, an animal lover with a special fondness for dogs, and a mixed-media artist.
